Overview
The Challenge
The London Borough of Haringey (LBH), is primarily made up of micro enterprises, making up 92% of the area's 14,200 SMEs.
Many of them have encountered heightened risk of closure, magnified by COVID-19's economic shockwaves and needed urgent support to survive.
The pandemic's toll was especially pronounced among ethnic-led and women-led businesses, primarily due to their significant presence in the hardest-hit sectors.
The Brief:
LBH sought a seasoned business support organisation with a robust history of delivering advice and assistance across diverse business categories and industries.
The goal was clear, to procure expert guidance capable of stabilising, sustaining, and ultimately growing the local business community in the face of unprecedented challenges.
The LBH required the support to be delivered through a series of expert-led 1-2-1 sessions supported with action plans and a series of group workshops.
The Results:
Since 2019, Hustle+Heels have been commissioned to design and implement four of the LBH business support programmes enabling them to deliver on their commitment to support the most vulnerable and impacted businesses within the Borough.
Through tailored, high-quality advisory and support initiatives, the endeavour has been pivotal in nurturing stability, confidence, and continued innovation among Haringey's diverse business landscape.
